The ranks of SHIELD. at London Comic Con have swelled once again, with Agents of SHIELD. regular Luke Mitchell joining already-announced guests Elizabeth Henstridge (Jemma Simmons) and Nick Blood (Lance Hunter) at May’s pop culture festival.
The Australian actor plays Lincoln Campbell on the Marvel superhero show; a quick tempered but good hearted young Inhuman with the ability to manipulate electrical charges – hence his SHIELD codename ‘Sparkplug’. First appearing in Agents of SHIELD’s second season when he introduces Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) to the Inhuman city of Afterlife and is captured by Hydra, Luke’s character became a series regular in Season 3.
Prior to joining the Joss Whedon series, Luke Mitchell starred as John Young in US sci-fi show The Tomorrow People. Other TV roles include Will Benjamin in teen fantasy H2O: Just Add Water; Chris Knight in Neighbours; and ladies’ man Romeo Smith in long-running soap Home and Away, with Luke appearing in nearly 700 episodes between 2009 and 2013.
