HBO has released a bunch of photos from the second episode of Westworld, called “Chestnut”. The new images introduce the arrival of two new guests to the resort who’ll have significant roles to play in the series – Logan (Ben Barnes) and William (Jimmi Simpson). The pic above also shows Angela (Talulah Riley), a kind of meet-and-greet-orientation host at the park. Maeve (Thandie Newton) has a key role to play in episode two as well.
Westworld premiered to very impressive viewing figures in the UK on Sky Atlantic – 460k, peaking at 575,000 in the opening minutes (hang on… some people turned it off?). That makes it the channel’s second biggest show of the year after – guess what? – Game Of Thrones – and well ahead of Sky Atlantic’s premiere for The Night Of… which had 290k viewers. As ScreenDaily points out, the channel’s average viewing figures over the past year for the slot Westworld was shown are a mere 52k, so that’s a win, then.
Screen Daily also reveals that the age of the audience was significant older than usual for a Sky Atlantic too. People who’d seen the original film were curious to tune in maybe?
