Here at MyM BUZZ we love a good soundtrack. Especially a good horror soundtrack. So it was especially great to be interview Fabio Frizzi at MCM London Comic Con. Frizzi is the John Carpenter of Italian movie soundtracks and shares the legendary director/composer’s love for his field and versatility. He’s best known for his collaborations with legendary Italian horror meister Lucio Fulci – a list which includes The Beyond (1981), Manhattan Baby (1982), City Of The Living Dead (1980), A Cat In The Brain (1990) and Zombi 2. Zombi 2, by the way – which is also known here as Zombie Flesh Eaters – is the film that gave us the best, and to date only, zombie vs shark fight. It’s GLORIOUS!
Here, Frizzi talks about composing for horror, his love of synths and film score heroes, among other things!
