Lexa Doig already has a solid track record in telefantasy with regular and recurring roles in Andromeda (as Rommie the android), The 4400 (as Wendy Paulson), Stargate SG-1 (as Dr. Carolyn Lam), V (as Dr Leah Pearlman) and Continuum (as Sonya Valentine), as well as numerous guest appearances in shows like Smallville, Supernatural and Eureka. Now she can add the Arrowverse to her CV as she’s landed the plumb role of Talia al Ghul, daughter of Ra’s al Ghul, on Arrow.
The Arrow version of the character is described as “worldly and cultured, and an elite warrior who doesn’t pick sides but rather creates her own.” Doig will make her debut as the character in episode 5.10 and will be appear in multiple episodes.
Talia al Ghul has appeared briefly before in the Arrowverse, when a young version of the character turned up in the DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow episode “Left Behind”, played by Milli Wilkinson.
Talia al Ghul made her comic book debut in Detective Comics #411 (1971) as a highly-trained assassin following in her supervillain father’s footsteps as an ecoterrorist. She was also mother to Batman’s son, Damian Wayne, who went on to become one of the many Robins. Marion Cotillard played her in The Dark Knight Rises (2012).
