Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts has posted a new video to his Instagram account showing star Tom Holland doing facial motion capture for the film. The big question has to be – why would Spider-Man require facial motion capture? Is it purely to make a CGI version of the mask move more realistically when he’s speaking? Or is there a more intriguing reason?
Spider-Man: Homecoming also stars Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Michael Keaton as The Vulture, Zendaya as Michelle, Logan Marshall-Green as a secondary villain and Kenneth Choi as Peter’s high school principal. The film is written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M Goldstein, while Michael Giacchino is providing the score.
