Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow has Tweeted a tongue-in-cheek message teasing that the sequel will address one major criticism continually levelled at the first film – that Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) was forced into being an action hero while wearing highly impractical high heels (actually, the heels were so high it’s difficult to know in what situation they would be practical).
Trevorrow, who is scripting and producing the sequel (he’s too busy in a galaxy far, far away to direct it himself) posted a photo of some very practical footwear, labelled “Clare SC 26 to 142” along with the message, “See you soon, @BryceDHoward”. Presumably these are the kinds of boots the costume department is currently considering for Claire in the second movie.

Jurassic World 2 is being directed by J.A. Bayona (The Orphanage, A Monster Calls) for a 2018 release.
