Netflix’s Iron Fist executive producer/showrunner Scott Buck is moving to another network’s Marvel universe as writer/executive producer/showrunner on Marvel’s The Inhumans for ABC. Buck’s previous credits also include Dexter, Rome and Six Feet Under.
Iron Fist will premiere on 17 March 2017, while the Inhumans will air on ABC in the autumn.
ABC gave the surprise green light to the live-action Inhumans series last month after the characters were dropped from the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s plans. As part of that deal, the first two episodes of the superhero series will debut on IMAX screens exclusively for two weeks ahead of the fall premiere on the broadcast network, which will feature some additional content not included in the cinematic cut.
The Inhumans are a race of superhumans, originally introduced living on the moon in a city called Attila, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965. Although there has been no confirmation of which Inhumans will feature in the show, there are strong rumours that the Inhuman royal family – including Black Bolt and Medusa – will be central to the show. As we’ve said before, we just wan to see Lackjaw, the Inhumans’ massive teleporting pooch, in the series.
