The CW’s four-show, four-night Arrowverse “Invasion” crossover between Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow saw rating rise massively for each show and gave the CW its most-watched week in six years.
Over the week, the CW pulled in an average of 2.3 million viewers, which is a hefty 20% increase in total viewers over the same week from last year.
On Monday night, Supergirl kicked off with 3.5 million live viewers — its highest viewing figure since total since leaving CBS and joining the CW. It was also nearly a million viewers up on the previous week.
On the Tuesday, The Flash’s figures jumped a huge 39% live viewers over the previous week, from 2.95 million to 4.15 million viewers.
On the Wednesday, the Arrow episode was the most-watched since last season’s crossover with The Flash, beating its own season five premiere and season four finale. With 3.55 million viewers, the show saw an increase of – get this – 120% from the previous week’s episode, which had 1.86 million.
Finishing things off on the Thursday, Legends Of Tomorrow drew 3.39 million viewers up from 1.85 the week before, an increase of 80% . That’s the show’s best rating since its pilot.
So hurrah for the Arrowverse. “Invasion”, while not perfect, was a lot of fun and the best Arrowverse crossover by far so let’s hope the event gives an ongoing boost for all the shows.
