According to TrailerTrack, a teaser trailer for Blade Runner 2049 is imminent. TrailerTrack has also Tweeted an official – brief – synopsis for the belated sequel to Ridley Scott’s sci-fi classic, quite possibly the most loved flop in cinema history:
“Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.”

So it seems that, despite getting headline billing on promo images, Harrison (Deckard) Ford’s involvement may be relatively minor. That certainly chimes with what Ford himself has previously said about film being in production for months without his presence being needed. We’d like to hope he gets more to do than Mark Hamill did in The Force Awakens, though.
Blade Runner 2049, directed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival) and also starring Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Sylvia Hoeks, Ana de Armas, Carla Juri, David Dastmalchian, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James and Jared Leto, opens in the UK on 6 October 2017.
