Entertainment Weekly has debuted three new images from Mute, the next film from Moon and Warcraft director Duncan Jones, which will premiere on Netflix late in 2017. It’s a sci-fi movie, which allegedly takes place in the same universe as Moon, though it looks to be more Terry Gilliam meets Blade Runner in style, or maybe Luc Besson does film noir – very quirky. Jones has been working on it on and off ever since the release of Moon in 2009.
Set in a future Berlin, it stars Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood) as the taciturn bartender of the title, with Paul Rudd (in a dodgy false moustache) and Justin Theroux (in a dodgy wig) as two surgeons whom Jones once described as being perfect roles for a comedy double act. Presumably Ant and Dec turned it down.
