Just to make things clear here from the start, this article is not about FX’s X-Men-inspired TV series Legion that has no connection with the X-Men movie franchise. This is about the new X-Men show Fox announced recently that is happily connected to the X-Men movie franchise.
And while we are still yet to learn what this new show’s called, we do now know who’ll be directing it: Bryan Singer, who’s directed four of the X-movies; X-Men, X2, Days Of Future Past and Apocalypse. He’s also been a producer on all the main X-Men movies.
Singer is no stranger to TV either having directed the first two episodes of House, MD and the pilot of Battle Creek. He’s also been an executive producer on a number of TV shows, including Legion.
The series will focus on a husband and wife who discover that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. The series will be produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Marvel Television, with 20th Century Fox handling physical production.
