Stan Lee’s Lucky Man: The Bracelet Chronicles is produced by and stars the legendary Stan Lee. The Bracelet Chronicles is an animated motion comic exploring the origins behind the myth of the lucky bracelet from the series.
Rich Clayton (played in the series by Stephen Hagan), a jewellery and antiquities dealer, is enlisted to help his brother DI Harry Clayton (James Nesbitt) investigate a mysterious lucky bracelet that has been given to him. With the help of an antiquities expert at one of London’s renowned museums, Rich and Harry delve deeper into the history of the bracelet. Tracing it’s path from Ancient China through Elizabethan England to Cold War Russia, their research reveals the huge impact that the bracelet has had on not only history but those who have worn it.
In Part One, Rich uses a contact in the antiquities world to investigate the history of the lucky bracelet. A path is traced from Ancient China to Elizabethan England.
In Part Two Rich is given a secret dossier kept by the KGB about the lucky bracelet. He learns past owners both famous and infamous had worn it throughout the 20th Century.
The various artists brought together to craft the look of the motion comic include Per Berg, Dennis Culver, Tony Fleecs, Matt Harding, Drew Edward Johnson, Kool Skull, Marissa Louise, Chris Moreno, Riley Schmitz and Garage Art Studio.
Stan Lee says: “I have always been fascinated by luck. People live their entire lives starving for more of it, not realising that one’s luck is another’s misfortune. I think this is a brilliant opportunity to dive into the origins of the infamous lucky bracelet and the fans can’t agree more. Nuff’ said!”
Richard Fell (executive producer), Carnival Films ssays: “The Bracelet Chronicles is a very exciting addition to the Lucky Man world. It tells the story of the origin of the bracelet in 6th Century China, and its journey through its various owners in history to when it is bestowed on Harry’s wrist. It’s a real treat to have a comic book addition, created by Stan and his team.”
Stephen Hagan (who plays Rich Clayton in the series) says: “It was fantastic to develop the character of Rich along with the legendary Stan Lee. It gives viewers a real insight into how deep the world of the bracelet can go and how much power it has. It was a privilege to be animated by Stan Lee’s very own POW! Entertainment and the wonderful artists involved in the motion comic. I feel one step closer to a super hero!”
