With some critics – with tongues most definitely not in cheek – arguing that The LEGO Batman movie could be the Dark Knight’s best big screen outing ever (including BUZZ’s own reviewer) it seems only fitting that DC should let that film’s director have a shot at a live-action DC movie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris McKay will be helming a live-action Nightwing movie from a script by The Judge and The Accountant screenwriter Bill Dubuque (we’re surprised it’s not being called The Superhero).
For those of you who don’t know, in the DC comics universe Nightwing was a later alter ego of Dick Grayson, better known as Batman’s sidekick Robin. He became Nightwing when he stopped being a sidekick and went off to do his own thing.
It’s not known yet if Dick Grayson will be introduced in another DC movie featuring Batman before he gets his own spin-off, but we wouldn’t bet against it…
