Arrowverse super-producer Marc Guggenheim was at Wondercon in Anaheim on Friday to promote his other project, the animated Netflix hit Trollhunters, created by Guillermo Del Toro. BUZZ couldn’t pass up the chance to ask him to clarify where we could find those the Trollhunters Easter eggs he said he’d hidden in the Arrowverse:
“For Legends one didn’t show up on screen,” he admits. “I talked about it and then I saw the cut and I thought this isn’t going to work. In episode 2.11 when Amaya finds the candy wrapper that Rory left it was a nougat nummy from Trollhunters. In Arrow when Damien Darkh does his incantation to channel his magic he mentions Kanjugar.”
We also asked whether Guggenheim is involved with the new Black Lightning show? “Oh no, between these three shows it”s enough!”
Legends of Tomorrow currently airs on Thursdays, and Arrow on Wednesdays on the CW in the States. Both shows air on Thursdays on Sky1 in the UK.
Season one of Trollhunters is available on Netflix. Season two’s premiere is TBA.
