Three games in the .hack//G.U. RPG series will be remastered for PS4 and PC as part of .hack//G.U. Last Recode, Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 have announced.
Compromising of Rebirth, Reminisce and Redemption, all three games will be given the patented ‘Industry Standard’ remaster treatment up to widescreen 1080p visuals at 60fps. A number of gameplay refinements will also be made to improve battle balancing and the game’s pacing. You’ll also be given the option of a cheat mode to boost your way past some of that classic RPG grind that can dull the enjoyment of many older games.
If you’ve not heard of .hack before then you’ll probably want to know that the series focuses on a series of peculiar events surrounding an online MMO game called The World. Stories have been told across anime, manga, novels and video games since 2002.
.hack//G.U. Last Recode sounds like a fairly sensible place to for newcomers to start so if you consider your interest piqued you’ll be able to pick up the trilogy in late 2017.
