Annabelle may be the new doll, but Chucky has a legacy that spans nearly 30 years. Universal have released a new trailer for the latest instalment, Cult of Chucky, the seventh film in the Child’s Play franchise, written and directed by Don Mancini.
Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif) is convinced that she, not Chucky, murdered her entire family and has been confined to an asylum for the last four years. Believing it will help her get better, Nica’s psychiatrist Dr. Foley (Michael Therriault) introduces a Good Guy doll into his group sessions, one that just so happens to be named Chucky. It’s not long before a string of grisly deaths start to occur.
Returning cast members include Brad Dourif voicing Chucky, Alex Vincent as the grown up Andy Barclay, and Jennifer Tilly as Chucky’s long ago bride Tiffany.
