Because it wasn’t all serious dystopias and tech paranoia at this year’s Sci-Fi London, as Dogstar Photo and Doug’s Dogs teamed up for Sci-Fido – the film festival’s annual dog show. Host Bunny Galore introduced the seven dogs competing for a bag of goodies (courtesy of Hounds of Bow) and a framed print of their pooch.
The competitors at Juju’s Bar, in London’s Old Truman Brewery, ranged from movie stars and a literary character to a Bowie-based outfit. And with charity All Dogs Matter in attendance, there was no compromising the pet’s happiness and welfare and they were all comfortable, calm and happy in their doggy apparel.
MyM loved 10-year-old chihuahua OJ, who was the cutest representation of Sharknado you’ll ever see (top fact: “The Croatian word for shark means seadog,” Sci-Fi London founder Louis Savy revealed). “The winner is La La Land,” Savy joked, before Bunny Galore announced that Martha (Wonder Woman) had placed third, Maria (The Doctor) had come second and Arda (Claudia from Interview with a Vampire) was the overall winner.
