Bleach fans have always been disappointed that they never got to see the final act of Tite Kubo’s manga in anime form, as Studio Pierrot cancelled the series before the “Thousand-Year Blood War” arc was completed. But now that arc is finally being brought to animated life – to an extent – thanks to the Bleach: Brave Souls Android and iOS game. And here’s the trailer to prove it.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufpe4buCQAc?rel=0&w=560&h=315
This new chapter of Bleach: Blood Souls will have a few surprises for Bleach fans who only know it through the anime, as some characters will appear to have been reimagined, with new powers, though this is all in line with the manga’s events. The game will feature the onscreen debut of Kyoraku’s mysterious Bankai, which the alcohol-loving Soul Reaper never used in the anime. Plus Komamura will be seen in his human form as opposed to his wolf form. Toshiro is no longer a Soul Reaper who you’d mistake for a school boy; now he’s all grown up. Tite Kubo was involved in the characters designs for the game.
In the manga, “Thousand-Year Blood War” brought the Quincy back into play. After being all but destroyed by the Soul Reapers centuries ago, a sect of Quincy rebels reappear and take over Hueco Mundo. The army, under Emperor Yhwach, plans to invade the Soul Society in the wake of Aizen’s defeat. And Ichigo bands together with his comrades after regaining his spiritual powers but has to face demons from his past.
