John Carpenter is a planetary treasure, a director whose work has shaped modern western horror cinema like very few others. He’s also a prolific musician and an album of his work, Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998 is released on 20 October. To celebrate that, and the fact that this month is Horror Christmas, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have released a glorious spooky cover of the Halloween theme. Two of the best contemporary soundtrack composers saluting one of the all time greats. It doesn’t get much better, or spookier, than this. Enjoy.
