MCM Comic Con has sent up the Bat Signal today with the announcement that Kevin Conroy, the man who has played the Caped Crusader more times than anyone other actor, is to be a guest at its flagship London show this May.
Conroy is best known for portraying Bruce Wayne and his superhero alter ego in classic ‘90s cartoon Batman: The Animated Series and the DC Animated Universe shows that have followed in its wake, from The New Batman Adventures, Superman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond to Justice League, Justice League Unlimited and the recent Justice League Action.
In addition, the Juilliard-trained Conroy has starred in a host of Batman animated movies, including Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero, Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox and 2008 anime anthology Batman: Gotham Knight.
Conroy is also the go-to actor when it comes to Batman’s videogame incarnations, voicing the Dark Knight in Rocksteady’s acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight, as well as NetherRealm’s Injustice: Gods Among Us and its 2017 sequel.
MCM London Comic Con takes place on 25-27 May. Tickets to the show are available here.
