Dark Horse, Santa Monica Studio and Sony Interactive Entertainment have produced the essential companion to the highly-anticipated God of War video game, which will allow fans to enjoy the artwork seen in the God of War comics.
Available today, The Art of God of War is a limited-edition intimate chronicle of the years-long odyssey to bring Kratos and Atreus’ beautiful and brutal world to life.
It includes an expanse of gorgeous art and in-depth interviews documenting an exhaustive behind-the-scenes journey.
The book has a realistic leather-like cover with bright silver foil and red gilded pages and is enclosed in a clamshell case with a cloth-textured lining. It also includes a cloth-covered collector’s portfolio with two gallery-quality lithographs and will be available for purchase through the PlayStation store.
The team behind the game has also produced a four-issue comic series. iZombie creator Chris Roberson has penned the adventures of Kratos as he battles to control his own rage and understand his role as a father when facing dangerous threats from mythical Norse creatures. Artist Tony Parker (This Damned Band) lends his illustrative skills to the mythical Norse adventure series.
The Art of God of War goes on-sale in early 2018 when the game ships and is available for preorder on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and your local comic shop.
