The official Pokémon YouTube channel has been updated with a new trailer for Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! which reveals a lot of the features available in this new incarnation of the franchise.
As we see, players begin by selecting their first partner Pokémon, either Pikachu or Eevee. With the game based upon Pokémon Yellow, it employs the same characteristic by having your chosen Pokémon stay out of its Poké Ball and travel with you throughout your journey. You can also bond with your Pikachu or Eevee, by feeding, tickling and petting them, as well as dressing them up in a variety of outfits (as we see in the trailer, trainers and Pokémon can wear matching outfits).
As you travel through the Kanto region you will meet some familiar faces too, such as Professor Oak, Brock (the Gym Leader of Pewter City) and Misty (the Gym Leader of Cerulean City).
One of the unique things about this Pokémon game on Nintendo Switch is that two people can now play together on one console. So you can explore Kanto and catch Pokémon together, and even battle against other trainers as a tag team.
The Japanese trailer is also included here, which puts across the same features with slightly different footage.
As already reported, you’ll be able to connect with Pokémon Go and transfer Pokémon to the new game too.
Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! is released for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 16 November 2018.
