We’re now less than two months away from the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4, so Sony and Insomniac Games are giving us a closer look at what the sarky web-slinger will be facing in a brand new story trailer.
In the trailer we see Spidey go toe-to-toe with a number of the game’s villains, including Mister Negative, Rhino and Electro.
Elsewhere, Norman Osbourne, Miles Morales and other familiar faces from the Spider-Man mythos turn up at various points too, showing that Peter Parker’s story will play just as an important part as when he dons the red and blue suit.
As for the game itself, in the footage we saw earlier this year and at E3, it’s clear Marvel’s Spider-Man plays very similarly to the Rocksteady Arkham series, as Spidey can be seen bounding around between targets in combat or taking them out unawares. We’re most excited to see how satisfying swinging through New York will be and if it’ll be able to live up to the brilliant Spider-Man 2 game.
Marvel’s Spider-Man will be released exclusively for PS4 on September 7. Pre-orders are available now.
