An HD remaster of gunslinging JRPG Resonance of Fate is scheduled for release later this year on PS4 and PC, developer Tri-Ace has announced.
Originally released back in 2010 for PS3 and Xbox 360, Resonance of Fate follows Zephyr, Leanne, and Vashyron, three mercenaries who take odd jobs for the citizens of Basel – a last bastion of civilisation amongst a now heavily-polluted Earth.
The game stood out for its strong steampunk aesthetic and action-tinged turn-based combat, which saw characters charge across the battlefield unloading all manner of firearms while doing sweet backflips. It was a little wonky and weird but also pretty cool.
The remaster comes with everything you’d expect from a modern release, including a bump to HD/4K graphics. If you missed the original version and like your RPGs a little stranger, then this is definitely one to check out.
Resonance of Fate HD/4K Remaster will be released for PS4 and PC on October 18.
