Time-swallowing lifestyle and farming sim Stardew Valley is coming to mobile, Chucklefish has announced.

In a blog post over on the Stardew Valley website, the developers revealed that iOS and Android versions of the game are on the horizon. In fact, Stardew Valley will be available on the iOS App Store on October 24. Details on the Android release will be confirmed very soon.

In terms of features, the mobile release of Stardew Valley is the full game up to and including the 1.3 single player content and plays “almost identically” to all other versions. The biggest difference is that the game has been rebuilt for touchscreen gameplay, meaning there’s a new UI, menu systems and controls. Multiplayer is not supported, however, but you can transfer your saves from PC to iOS using iTunes.

Chucklefish also gave a quick update on how the development of the multiplayer ports is going for the game’s other versions. It’s good news all round, as the Nintendo Switch version is now in quality assurance, while the PS4 and Xbox One versions will follow shortly after. Hooray!

Stardew Valley will be available on iOS from October 24 for £7.99 / $7.99 / €8,99. The Android version will be released at a future date.
