Battlestar Galactica star Mary McDonnell will be making her MCM Birmingham Comic Con debut when the Midlands show returns later this month.
Although McDonnell garnered Oscar nods for her roles in both Dances with Wolves and Passion Fish, it’s as President Laura Roslin in acclaimed sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica that the American actor is best known. Elevated to the presidency of the Twelve Colonies following Richard Adar’s death at the hands of the Cylons, the fiery, sometimes ruthless Roslin became one of the show’s best-loved characters.
Mary McDonnell is also well known for playing Captain Sharon Raydor in US crime drama The Closer, with her breakout character going on to be the star of spin-off series Major Crimes. Other televisions appearances include Fargo, Grey’s Anatomy and ER, while McDonnell’s big screen credits include Independence Day, Donnie Darko and Sneakers.
MCM Birmingham returns on 24-25 November 2018. Tickets to the show are available here.
