Because vacuum cleaners simply aren’t cute enough already (Henry may think he’s got the market all to himself), a Pokémon Pikachu cleaner is on the way.
As reported on Natalie, the Pikachu RunRun cleaner is from SHINE Co., Ltd. The company is mostly known for making cute money banks with popular characters. However, their new vacuum cleaner is similar to a Roomba robot cleaner, with Pikachu sat on top of a Poké Ball. Upon switching it on, it will automatically move towards any mess. If it hits an obstacle, then Pikachu will steer the cleaner around. Pikachu will also talk while cleaning, probably telling you just how messy you are.
SHINE Co are also releasing a Pikachu Light. 30cm in size, it reacts to sound, so will turn on when clapping your hands. It also has ‘sing’ and ‘dance’ modes, as Pikachu will sing while lighting up, and dance to certain sounds.
The Pikachu RunRun cleaner will cost ¥3218 (about £22 / $29), while the Pikachu Light will cost ¥9698 (about £68 / $88). Both will make an appearance at the Tokyo International Gift Show this month and are expected to go on sale later this summer.
