The remaster of Zone of the Enders 2: The Second Runner will now be released this September for PS4, PSVR and PC, Konami has announced.
The hack-and-slash shooter sequel originally released in 2003 and was a direct follow-up to the 2001 original. This remaster, given the new subtitle ‘Mars’, boasts 4K graphics and all new first-person VR support, so you can truly live out your mech piloting fantasies.
The trailer above gives you a good idea of the graphical improvements over both the original release and the HD remasters on Xbox 360 and PS3. It’s looking pretty swish!
Many of you will most likely remember the original Zone of the Enders for the demo that shipped with the original PS2 version: the phenomenal tanker mission from Metal Gear Solid 2. Call us cynical if you want, but it’s fair to say that’s the reason why Zone of the Enders got a little bit of a popularity boost.
Neither Zone of the Enders game should be discounted, though, as they’re both excellent and exciting action games.
Zone of the Enders 2: The Second Runner – Mars is scheduled for release this September on PS4, PSVR and PC.
