Sony has released two teaser trailers for Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, based on R.L. Stine’s children’s horror novels, with the sequel featuring a new cast of kids and the return of Slappy the Dummy.
Two friends (Jeremy Ray Taylor and Caleel Harris) visit on old broken down house, occupied by Goosebumps author R.L. Stine. During their exploration they discover a secret wall. Behind the wall is a chest and inside the chest is a book called Haunted Halloween… and the book is locked. Despite all these warnings that they’re about to mess with something that was meant to stay hidden, they open the book, unleashing Slappy the Dummy and the rest of the Goosebumps ghouls and monsters.
Sony has released a US teaser and a slightly shorter international teaser with different footage. Both are available below for your viewing pleasure.
The original film was released in 2015 and managed to earn over $150 million worldwide from a $58 million production budget.
The sequel also stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, Madison Iseman, Chris Parnell and Ken Jeong. Directed by Ari Sandel from a screenplay by Rob Lieber, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween is released in the UK and US on 12 October 2018.
