Following last week’s reveal of Dragon Ball Super: Broly as the next Dragon Ball movie, Toei Animation has provided a first glimpse of the film itself in a one-and-a-half minute launch trailer. Toei and Funimation, who will be handling the film’s theatrical release in North America, unveiled the promo video during a panel at San Diego Comic Con.
The 20th feature-length instalment in the iconic Dragon Ball franchise, Dragon Ball Super: Broly will premiere in Japan on 14 December before heading to American cinemas in January 2019. The film will be helmed by former Dragon Ball Super director Tatsuya Nagamine (One Piece Film Z, Saint Seiya Omega), with original Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama handling the script and character design.
