After keeping quiet on the series for some time, Bioware has confirmed that they will be revealing more about the future of Dragon Age in December.
Taking to the Bioware Blog, general manager Casey Hudson wrote: “If you’ve been following these blogs, or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know we’re also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff. Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we’re excited to continue its legacy. Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won’t tell you where to look…)”.
“Secret Dragon Age stuff” is a fairly generic term, so while we would love to believe that the Bioware boss is exclusively talking about a new game, we could also be getting a related comic, mini-series or similar.
The last we saw of the sereis was Dragon Age: Inquisition back in 2014 – a solid entry, though one that didn’t quite manage to capture the cRPG brilliance of Dragon Age: Origins.
Whatever it is Bioware is set to reveal, could the Dragon Age announcement be part of the ten or more games we’re expecting to debut at the Game Awards on December 6? That seems to be the most likely situation. Fingers crossed RPG fans!
