Warner Bros has released the briefest of teasers for their DC Extended Universe film Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). It’s not quite enough to start your new cosplay, for the footage amounts to 20 seconds of the main cast in costume.
Margot Robbie kicked things off by posting a photo of herself as Harley Quinn on her Instagram page. The teaser was then uploaded on the YouTube channel CheekySneakyPeeky. Blink and you might miss the rest of the cast, which includes a glimpse of Mary Elizabeth Winstead as The Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain (Batgirl and Orphan), Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Ewan McGregor as Black Mask and Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz.
Loosely based on the DC Comics series, the spin-off film takes place in a Batman-less Gotham City. Harley Quinn finds herself joining forces with the Birds of Prey to help protect the young Cassandra Cain from the crime lord Black Mask.
Directed by Cathy Yan, Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is currently shooting and is set to be released in February 2020.
